I am considering moving my blog to a Wordpress account... I need to take this blogging stuff more seriously and I think having my own domain name will help.
So, you may find yourself asking 'Why the absence? I've missed you'. And that's ok, it's only natural, really... I think a whole lot of unhappiness from work is to blame. But that will change soon...
I've decided to move on from my career as a teacher. This is a huge decision that leaves me with a heavy heart. I am not looking forward to telling my students (well, most of them anyway) because I feel like I will have let some of them down but I know I need to do what's best for me.
I don't love teaching anymore. The state, school district and administration are making a lot of changes that I don't agree with. And there's not any room for growth, unless I want to be an administrator (which I don't), or a counselor (which I don't). I don't want to teach for the rest of my life. Sure, I would love to have summers off the rest of my life, but that's not a reason why one should stay in a career.
I received a job offer and I plan on accepting it. I am looking forward to what this new experience will bring and I plan on keeping you guys involved every step of the way :)
